Any news or knowledge if the fire is near the creek?

Original news reports yesterday lead me to believe it was at the bridge where the fire around 25-30 years ago was located; across the creek from Cold Canyon Resort and up the canyon at the UCD property. Coming back from the Davis archery range yesterday the smoke column seemed to be further North, quite some distance from CCR though radio news did mention evacuation from CCR.

You should have seen the look on there faces as I handed them a watermelon and a bottle of tea

I drove up to PC 2 days ago to see the area.  The maps outlining the extent of the fire are spot on.  All of the north side of 128 from Canyon Creek to Access 5 appears burned with only trees remaining.  Fortunately, the creek side was spared....

The important question is, can we keep all that ash out of the creek when the first rain hits. I'm guessing it will turn the redds to cement if it gets into the water.

I was thinking about that the other day.  It's not the ash so much as the lack of soil stability when the rains do come.  I would expect Putah to be a muddy mess this Winter.

My guess is no impact on the redds or the river
