In the past couple of weeks I have noticed in a few spots someone has taken a saw and shears and cut some branches and limbs in some key spots on the creek.  Just because your flies end up in the bush does not give you the right to landscape the terrain to make it easier for yourself.

I know this has happened in the past and it eventually effected the run for the worse.  disbelief

Absolutely my experience as well. Worse for the flies= better for fish. Leave the structure alone people!

Agreed.  This is one of the main reasons I come to Putah--to develop and improve me samurai casting moves.  Fish Putah a few days in a row and then go to a river that's more wide open and you feel like a total stick.  Let's keep it that way.

The other reason I go to Putah:  poison oak rash on my face and neck is a great conversation starter around the water cooler at work....

Or an excuse to have your significant other check your nooks and carnies for ticks. 😑

I guess they don't have the skills to fish in brush. Only someone that basically is an unskilled idiot cuts down bush's, And trees. Putah is not that bad as far as creek side brush goes. Try crawling through tunnels of willows while fishing.
