A project to alter the streambed near Winters is going on over the next 3 months. Part of the project is to narrow the bed above the railroad bridge. This stretch will be dewatered during the process with the normal flow directed through large pipes. In a Monday to Wednesday window next week, a native fish rescue will be undertaken in this stretch by netting and transfering the fish to tanks. Volunteers are needed, but the actual day/time is not nailed down. If your time is flexible and you can be there on short notice and would like to take part/be notified send me an email.
